Keep Australia Beautiful
and
Tidy towns sustainable communities awards


  • Keep Australia Beautiful Week 2013 will be held from August 19-25 2013.

    KAB Week each year is always held over the last full week of August.

    The theme for KAB Week 2013 has yet to be decided.

  • Registrations now open for the 2013 Tidy Towns Sustainable Communities awards program, communities can get more out of their efforts to improve the environment they live in.

    Tidy Towns Sustainable Communities is open to all regional towns and communities.

    There are eight categories in the awards:

    • community action and partnerships
    • general appearance
    • waste management and litter prevention
    • natural environment conservation
    • heritage and culture
    •  water conservation
    •  energy innovation
    •  young legends.

      Communities can enter one, or all of the categories.

    Registrations are now open and close on 1 March and project submissions are due by 1 June.

    Tidy Towns Sustainable Communities is a Keep Australia Beautiful program. The Department of Environment and Conservation provides administrative, logistical and policy support to the Keep Australia Beautiful Council WA. This program is supported by the Waste Authority through the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Account.

    Tidy Towns Sustainable Communities is sponsored by Packaging Stewardship Forum, GWN7, the Department of Regional Development and Lands, West Australian Regional Newspapers and Cliffs Natural Resources Inc.
