YOH Fest, Western Australia’s biggest youth performing arts event, gives high school students throughout the State the opportunity to take part in an innovative and revolutionary approach to health education.
YOH Fest is WA's biggest and fastest growing performing arts festival, run entirely by and for youth.
Young artist participants construct and perform their own dance sequence, drama play, art piece, media production or song performance to depict core messages around a relevant youth health theme. In this way, YOH Fest encourages young people to explore the issues that affect them and the life skills needed to overcome adversity.
Finalists are selected from a number of regional heats held throughout Western Australia to compete for top honours in the Grand Final event in Mandurah each year.
YOH Fest is the only festival of its kind in Australia. The top artists in each of the categories will go forward to the YOH Fest Grand Final in October.
